The rural subsistence farming village of Nakasedhere, deep in the Luuka District of Uganda, east of the Nile and north of Lake Victoria, is home to St. Atanansi Junior School .

Red clay roads link this village and the surrounding villages located in the fertile, rolling hills surrounded by commercial sugar cane and rice operations.

In the villages, goats, cattle and chickens feed in front yards among gardens of cassava, bananas, maize, and vegetables.

Homes are modest adobe or brick structures with thatched or metal roofs, off the grid, reliant on local wells for water.
